The Category Analyst will be instrumental in supporting our category management efforts, focusing on data analysis, reporting, and strategic insights. This role involves managing various data inputs, reconciling trade spend, monitoring promotional effectiveness, and generating reports to inform business decisions. The Category Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to optimize category performance and enhance our service offerings. A proactive approach to problem-solving, strong communication abilities, and excellent time management skills are essential for success in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration to enhance and evolve our capabilities.
  • Proven ability in effective time management, clear communication, and analytical problem-solving.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in data analysis, preferably within the consumer goods or food brokerage industry, or a recent college graduate with relevant internships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Efficient and effective utilization of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to represent the company professionally at all times.

Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00

Responsibilities:

  • Support category management by analyzing sales data, market trends, and consumer insights.
  • Assist in the development and execution of category strategies to drive growth.
  • Reconcile trade spend and promotional activities to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Generate and maintain regular reports on category performance, identifying key trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support promotional planning and execution.
  • Manage data submissions for new products, price changes, and customer-facing information.
  • Monitor order alerts and claims, ensuring accuracy in pricing and promotions.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business development and client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all category-related activities.
